A group of singers on Saturday captivated an evening audience singing songs of various nature at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka.Cultural organisation, Sursaptak organised the show to mark its ninth founding anniversary.
Noted litterateur Abdus Shakoor, music exponent Sudhin Das, educationist Abdullah Abu Sayeed, among others, spoke on the occasion.Ferdous Ara, also the founder director of the organisation, chaired the first session.The second session of the programme began with a group song styled ‘Dao shourya dao dairya.
The singers including Ferdous Ara, Mita Haque, Kilkil Kazi, Rezwana Chowdhury Banya and Kiran Chandra Roy enthralled the audience singing songs of Tagore, Nazrul and some hit numbers of folk songs.
