Lindsay Lohan posts topless picture on Twitter

By Cristina Everett

For a minute, Lindsay Lohan was pretending to be serious about acting again.

The starlet landed a role in the independent movie, “The Other Side,” and told producer Kent Harper she would be “serious” and “committed” to the project, which starts filming in October.

So what does an attention-craving actress do until fall?

In Lohan’s case: post a semi-nude photo of yourself on the web.

The actress, 22, sent out a topless picture of herself with long, blonde extensions strategically covering her chest on Twitter.

Lohan, who is Fornarina’s summer 2009 spokeswoman, took the self-portrait on her Blackberry during a shoot for the Italian clothing label in January.

"OLD PHOTOS," she tweeted on Monday. "I'm THAT bored."

Lohan may have been bored, but she wasn’t dumb.

She tagged E! correspondent Ben Lyons and gossip blogger Perez Hilton in the photo’s caption.

Lohan’s latest self-exploitation stunt comes after string of mishaps that have followed the actress.

After two unidentified men attempted to unsuccessfully break into her Hollywood residence in May, Lohan’s relationship with on-off gal pal Samantha Ronson finally hit rock bottom.

The actress is now under investigation for the disappearance of $400,000 worth of Dior jewelry that went missing from a magazine photoshoot in London.

Calvin Klein Ad Taps Foursome Sex

Sexualized Billboard Shocks Parents, Hits Cultural Nerve in NYC's Soho Neighborhood

By SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES

Edgy is Calvin Klein's middle name.

And now, once again, the fashion company is shocking and titillating passersby with a new ad campaign in New York City's Soho neighborhood, a place where young mothers with strollers mingle with artists and hipsters.

A giant 50-foot-tall billboard advertising Calvin Klein jeans features two young men and a young woman entangled half-clothed (a male and female kissing) as a third man lays at their feet, either undressing or putting his pants back on.

Some say they find the ad so outrageous they won't buy Calvin Klein products again. Others have called it "disgusting."

"Not only the billboard, but a company -- a corporate giant in America -- feels it appropriate to put a semi-nude photograph in a major billboard in a high-traffic area where tens of thousands of children see this kind of activity going on," said Randy Sharp, director of special projects for the American Family Association, a Christian organization that promotes preservation of traditional values.

"If it were going on in the back of a parking lot with steamed windows, they would be arrested, and yet they broadcast it to a whole city," he told ABCNews.com.

The organization has launched an appeal on its Web sites – twomillionmoms.org and twomilliondads.org, whose members have sent off more than 15,000 e-mail complaints to the company.

Tapping Into Cultural Outrage

Calvin Klein's in-house agency, CRK Advertising, has a history of tapping into that cultural outrage.

In 1981, a coquettish Brooke Shields told consumers, "You wanna know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing."

And just last year, one of its ads starring Eva Mendes was banned because of the hint of a nipple.

Retail sales of products sold worldwide under the Calvin Klein brand names generated more than $5 billion in revenue in 2007. Its 55 licensing agreements for fragrances, handbags and even furniture bolster $156 million of those sales.

Calvin Klein Ads and Porn

Shields and actor Mark Wahlberg, who modeled male underwear, were the early poster children for the designer's haute couture line. Photography was shot by Bruce Weber, known for his equally sexualized work for Abercrombie & Fitch.

Consumers protested in 1995 when the company planned to air 30-second interviews with young men and women in front of cheap wood paneling as an unseen adult asked provocative questions about their physiques.

The ads were dropped after television stations refused to air them, and retailers threatened to drop the Calvin Klein label. The FBI even investigated the company for potential child pornography charges.

But the campaign didn't hurt the bottom line. In 2003, Calvin Klein was sold to Philip Van Heusen for more than $600 million. And that didn't even include the jeans line, which had been sold earlier to the Warnaco Group.

Calvin Klein Inc. did not return calls from ABCNews.com, but has earlier said its "intention was to create a very sexy campaign that speaks to our targeted demographic."

Some of those younger consumers are less judgmental about gender roles and have a more tolerant view of their sexuality, embracing gay marriage in larger numbers than their parents and, perhaps, seeing a threesome or even foursome as no big deal.

Many couldn't understand what all the "commotion" is about. One commenter on New York magazine's Web site declared, "All I can see are beautiful people having a good time…It's not the advertising that makes little children confused, it's the uptight handling with sex-related issues in general of their parents."

Even those who have never considered a ménage a trois (or more) don't seem shocked by the notion that more is merrier.

"I think that many younger people are OK with threes and fours, theoretically," said Lauren, a 28-year-old New York City teacher who did not want her last name used. "In college, many people engage in threesomes either with three friends, strangers or even their main partner and then a friend."

But some say Calvin Klein, whose earlier ads seem tame by comparison, has hit a cultural nerve.

"It's just porn from a guy who's done kiddie porn," said Bob Garfield, ad critic at Advertising Age and co-host of National Public Radio's, "On the Media." "If you pay attention to it, you're just doing his advertising for him."

Even the New York media -- accustomed to the bare midriffs that adorn Times Square -- has looked down its nose at the sexual implications of the four semi-nude models on the billboard.

"There's no such thing as a foursome," chided the Daily News. "Anything over three and it's called orgy."

Calvin Klein Genius

That remark, said Ashara Love, a 51-year-old who belongs to Loving More, a Colorado-based organization that promotes polyamory, reflects society's disapproval of more sexually free attitudes.

Polyamory is a "gender identity" not a lifestyle choice, according to Love, who said she does not use her birth name to protect her parents, who do not know she is "out."

"With cultural imperatives, the mainstream media frequently reinforces what you should think," said Love, who is happily married but engages in threesomes. "Hey guys, it's over there, pay no attention, it's just an orgy."

What critics are upset about, according to Love, is the unusual combination of one girl and three young men.

"Everything about our arts and culture is homoeroticism and denial," she told ABCNews.com. "What men are really afraid of is having sex with another guy. That's what's scaring people."

But Love and others, say the brilliance of Calvin Klein is his ability to tap into the next wave of shifting attitudes -- especially among those who buy their products.

Reaching Youth Where They Are Culturally

"He reaches young kids at a place where they are and opens them up even more," she said. "Everyone is really comfortable. They are having a good time, no wink, wink, nod, aren't we naughty for doing this. Everyone is completely in the moment and it's extremely confronting for people. It pushes the cultural input button."

But media observers say the issue is less about censorship and more about "media sanity" and what is age-appropriate.

"I can guarantee everyone below Houston Street [in Soho] is having a conversation with their children right now," said Liz Perle, editor-in-chief of Common Sense Media, a nonprofit that provides ratings for parents.

"It's just not age appropriate for kids who haven't even kissed a boy to be introduced to sophisticated, mature behavior," Perle told ABCNews.com. "They are not emotionally ready to deal with that yet."

Common Sense Media works with Time Warner, Best Buys and Netflix to help families "make better decisions."

"We are not negative Nellies," she said.

That Calvin Klein billboard -- towering over a community that is now more child-friendly -- is a reminder that the age of the Internet has changed a child's perception of the world and "normalizes" highly sexualized content.

"Childhood used to be about a system of revealed secrets that are learned when they are ready to handle them," said Perle. "Our society is so desensitized that we have in-your-face violence and in-your-face sexuality."

"Here [in the billboard ad] are these beautiful people engaged in activities that are not age-appropriate for kids."

We actors are like prostitute: Megan Fox

By Agencies

Hollywood bombshell Megan Fox doesn't quite like the profession she is in as the star believes that the actors are like prostitutes who get paid for doing something unethical.

"When you think about it, we actors are kind of prostitutes," the Transformers star told the ‘GQ’ magazine.

"We get paid to feign attraction and love. Other people are paying to watch us kissing someone, touching someone, doing things people in a normal monogamous relationship would never do with anyone who's not their partner. It's really kind of gross," Fox said.

However the actress, who had openly talked about her lesbian relationship with a Russian stripper earlier, downplayed her wild image, "I have this sort of promiscuous image. People assume I'm really overtly sexually aggressive and that I'm this wild child. And I'm not like that at all."

Fox will be seen in Transformers sequel 'Revenge Of The Fallen' which is releasing on June 19.
Her next role is of a demoniacally possessed cheerleader in 'Jennifer's Body' which will be out in October.

She's also tipped to take over the Tomb Raider franchise from Angelina Jolie.

Monroe lives in the heart

By Culture Desk

Born Norma Jean Mortenson on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to a single mother — Gladys Baker struggling with mental illness and a travelling salesman who would not claim her, Marilyn Monroe was baptised Norma Jean Baker.

She later dominated the world of movie stars and become the most famous woman of the 20th century. Traded in and out of orphanages and foster homes, Monroe’s early childhood was defined by emotional neglect and sexual abuse at the age of eight.

As many other film stars from the studio system era in Hollywood would report, movie-going cultivated in Monroe a driving desire to join the privileged, shining faces, and outsized personalities of the silver screen. More than a 1950s sex goddess, Monroe personified Hollywood glamour, but always felt unfulfilled as an actress.

‘My illusions didn’t have anything to do with being a fine actress. I knew how third rate I was. I could actually feel my lack of talent, as if it were cheap clothes I was wearing inside. But, my God, how I wanted to learn, to change, to improve!’ she is quoted to have said.

Brief roles in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve (1950) led to stardom in many films, notably, The Seven Year Itch (1955) and Some Like It Hot (1959). She never won, nor was nominated for an Oscar.

She married the baseball legend Joe DiMaggio and later the playwright Arthur Miller, who wrote her last film, The Misfits (1960). After she had divorced Arthur Miller, she was madly in love with John F Kennedy, a love that ‘probably’ cost her life.

In 1962, at age 36, and after completing only 29 films, Marilyn Monroe died in the bedroom of her Brentwood, California, home from an overdose of barbiturates, leaving a legacy as one of the most recognizable movie stars and powerful cultural images in film history.

Candle in the Wind, a song with music by Elton John and lyrics by Bernie Taupin, could be listened up once again on her birthday.

Twilight lovers reunited for steamy kiss in New Moon sequel

By Daily Mail Reporter

Despite denying any off-screen romance, it appears Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are doing a good job of convincing the world they are in love.

The reunited Twilight stars shared a steamy kiss when filming scenes for film New Moon today - leaving onlookers wondering if the passionate display was genuine or just for cameras. The young cast have been living 'la dolce vita' in the Tuscan town of Montepulciano since they arrived this week to film for the upcoming sequel.

No doubt Kristen's boyfriend Michael Agnarano, who joined the co-stars at a local pizzeria for lunch yesterday, will find the fiery scenes painful to watch. Pictured leaving his hotel for lunch, English heart-throb Robert waved at the dozens of adoring female fans waiting outside for a glimpse of their idol.

While the crew have been setting the scene in the medieval town, Robert and Kristen have been enjoying the food and sights of Tuscany. With temperatures reaching a balmy 33 degrees yesterday, the cast were hopefully covering in suncream to make sure their skin stays ghostly white to play vampires.

Clearly feeling the heat of the midday sun, their 22-year-old co-star Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice Cullen, stripped off to a pink bikini to enjoy a dip in the hotel pool. New Moon reunites Robert, 23, and Kristen, 19, as vampire Edward Cullen and his human girlfriend Bella Swan in the latest saga in the Twilight series.

The town of Montepulciano is standing in for Volterra, the ancient Italian city where the Volturi vampire coven live. The young actors were catapulted to international fame last year when they were plucked from obscurity to star in the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's book.

Moving on from the Twilight movie, which saw newcomer Bella adjust to life in Forks, Washington and falling in love with vampire Edward, the couple find their relationship threatened by his vampirism in New Moon. The sequel sees the species-challenged couple taking a break and Bella gets an education in the world of wolves from her friend and Edward's love rival Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

In the film, Bella's life hangs in the balance when she is attacked by a vampire named Victoria, from the rival vampire coven and is seeking revenge for her partner James's death in the Twilight film. Fans of the book will already know if Edward comes back to save Bella and resumes their relationship, but film audiences will have to wait until November when New Moon hits cinemas.

While all the Twilight cast are back for New Moon, there are also some new co-stars, including Michael Sheen as Aro, leader of the ancient Italian vampire coven of Volturi , who employs Dakota Fanning as one of the guards. Meyer's Twilight books have sold over 25million copies worldwide and a further 20million copies in the U.S. and have been translated in 37 languages.

When the Twilight movie was released in the U.S. on November 21st, it took an amazing $69million on its opening weekend. New Moon is expected to be released in the UK on November 27.

Kate Gosselin’s hair looks gr‘8’ on anyone

By Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa

We are officially obsessed with the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” drama. Did Jon cheat with the teacher? Did Kate cheat with the bodyguard? Who gets custody of all those adorable quarter-Asian babies???

Every day it’s a new scandal for the Gosselins: Kate gave Jon a $5-a-day allowance and raised hell if he overspent. Jon’s a deadbeat Octodad who stays with Kate for the dough. Kate wouldn’t let Jon talk to his brothers at his father’s funeral. There’s no end to the turmoil! The tabloids and celebrity rags have relentlessly chronicled the family circus and apparently they are running out of revelations. Because yesterday, Us maggie - which has been leading the Gosselin charge - was reduced to putting Kate’s infamous hairdo - aka “The Volcano” - on an assortment of celebrity heads.

Kate’s coif, as you may know, has been getting nearly as much attention as Jon’s nocturnal wanderings. The spiky-in-the-back, sloping-in-the-front punk cut has been slammed by stylists who say it looks like it was done with a salad spinner. “It’s not going to work for everybody,” Kate warned. “I have very, very thick hair . . . I’ve seen people come through the book line with thin hair and it just won’t work.”

No, obviously not. And since we aren’t above sinking as low as Us maggie, take a look at some of our local celebs in full Gosselin . . .

Hollywood actress Jessica Biel says being hot is 'really a problem'

BY Issie Lapowsky - May 19, 2009

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake won’t be picking out china patterns anytime soon.

The 27-year-old Biel was reticent about her relationship with Timberlake in a recent interview with Allure, saying that any wedding bells might be a long way off.

"I have no idea if I want to get married," Biel said. "I have a lot to do, career-wise." Yet she didn't downplay her feelings for her superstar beau, saying, "You love who you love.”

Biel and Timberlake recently moved to a swanky New York apartment, but Biel insists that nothing’s permanent. "I haven't moved out to New York City full-time," she said. "I'm here because I'm interested in the theater."

At this point in her career, Biel said she's looking for more serious roles, ones that will stand out among her previous performances in films like "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" and "Summer Catch." The beautiful Biel knows, however, that with looks like hers, such substantial parts may be hard to come by.

"It really is a problem. I have to be blunt," she said. "If you don't like the audition, then don't hire me. But if you don't even want to see me, that's hurtful."

The actress has learned her fair share about typecasting and has been picky when choosing her own body doubles in the past. "I tried to get breasts that I thought were most similar to mine. I mean, we're not dealing with a whole lot going on here," she said. "I didn't want anyone who was ridiculously big. But a little smaller and perkier in the butt? Okay, I did want that."

Jackman's wife turned down Mick Jagger for him

Agencies / Apr 08, 2009

Hugh Jackman may be one of Hollywood's sexiest men today, but his wife Deborrah Lee Furness turned down a date with rock legend Mick Jagger to be with him while he was still a struggling actor. The Australian actor fell for Furness almost a decade his senior while they were working together for the TV series 'Corelli' in 1995. The 'X-Men' star finally arranged to spend an evening with her at a dinner party but the date was nearly broken when the 'Rolling Stones' frontman, Jagger tried to persuade the blonde to go out with him instead, reported ‘Contactmusic’.

"I decided to have a dinner party and invite her with about 10 people. But before the crepes could be served, Deb's mobile phone rings. It's a very famous friend of hers who says, 'Deb, I'm outside Hugh's house in a limo with Mick Jagger and Mick says, 'Come down, let's party'," recalls Jackman.

"I say, 'Go with Mick.' But she gets on the phone and says, 'You tell Mick I'm having dinner with Hugh Jackman,' and hangs up. I went, 'Wow, that's pretty cool,' and confessed my crush, and then she said she had a crush on me, too!" added the 40-year-old actor who has been married to Furness for 12 years now.

Shahid-Priyanka trying out something new

Monday, April 6, 2009

Looks do matter. Especially when the girl in question is Priyanka Chopra. She was a stunner in her last two successful outings at the box office - Dostana and Fashion. If in the former she was the editor of a fashion magazine, in the latter she was a show- stopper herself.

Of course, all shows stopped at her arrival but she decided to take a different route altogether in her films to follow. She decided to be choosy about her work and picked on only two projects, Kaminey and What's Your Rashee. What makes Kaminey special is the fact that she got to work with director Vishal Bhardwaj, a master story teller when it comes to real Cinema, and known for giving his leading ladies an entirely different look.

While speculations were abounding about Priyanka Chopra's appearance in Kaminey, there has been a constant buzz ever since the first theatrical promo of the film hit the screens. Her hardcore Marathi girl act has made people sit up and take notice of Kaminey that has Shahid Kapoor in the lead.

Says Priyanka's close associate, "In the film, she plays the role of Sweety who is not only a bindaas girl but also someone who is traditional to the core (watch her doing those typical Maharashtrian dance steps and you will know). She is on a complete tangent if one remembers her ultra chic and glam avatar in the films that she has been seen in over the years.

Agrees Priyanka for whom Kaminey will be her first release of 2009 as a leading lady (after a hectic 2008 which saw her featuring in six back to back releases - Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku, Drona, Fashion and Dostana), "Yes, there has been an effort to make Sweety look completely different. She had to be believable and someone who isn't ultra glamorous. Also, I have gone with a minimal make-up look in the film."

Even Shahid Kapoor seems to be enjoying his double role stint in the film where one of the characters played by him not just stammers but also keeps an unkempt look. 'Reality' is what Vishal Bhardwaj has ensured in his characters and the same holds good for Shahid Kapoor too.

With both Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra seemingly going for a makeover and giving an altogether new account of themselves, the wait begins for this film which is all set to arrive at theatres on 26th June (yes, the film has been moved from it's original release date of 5th June). The duo seems to love trying out new things together!
