The overnight sensation Susan Boyle has found a new fan in Oscar winning actress Catherine Zeta Jones who is keen to play Boyle on screen.
The 47-year-old 'Britain's Got Talent' contestant, who claims to have never been kissed or had a boyfriend, acquired celebrity status after her audition in the popular talent show, ‘Daily Mail online’ reported. And now Zeta-Jones wants to play Boyle, popularly known as 'Hairy Angel' in a biopic, the newspaper said quoting sources.
The 'Chicago' actress has apparently asked for the film rights to the singer's life story and her sensational appearance on 'Britain's Got Talent'. Reports also suggest that 'Titanic' director James Cameron has also expressed interest in a similar project.
Boyle, a church volunteer from Scotland, has become a star in the US and UK after her performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from 'Les Miserables' on the ITV show. The video of the Scottish singer's performance became the most popular clip on YouTube leaving behind US President Barack Obama's inaugural speech.
"This is one of many requests we have had to play her (Boyle), for movie deals and for stories of her life. All these people are coming out and want to be associated with her. She is the biggest thing in the world. It is mental," a source on the show said of Zeta-Jones' proposal.
